Weddings, as they
actually
happened.

Arshaan Gandhi photographs weddings and public figures. He arrives as a guest, learns the family, and then mostly disappears into the day.

Most wedding photographs are of people
being photographed.

Arshaan works the other way around. He spends the first hours meeting the family properly — who is who, which relative will cry, who will hold the ceremony together — and by the time anything begins he is no longer a photographer in the room. He is simply someone who is already there.

What comes back is a record of the wedding as it actually ran, not a set of arrangements built for a camera. The formal photographs get made too, properly and without fuss, because a family deserves both.

Beyond weddings

He also photographs people
the country already knows.

Editorial and on-set work, shot between weddings — and the reason he is quick in a room where nobody is waiting for him.

In their words

  • We had told him only the timings, nothing else. Somehow he was always standing exactly where the moment was about to happen. My mother still says she never noticed him once during the Narmada arti.

    Priyansh & Aditi
  • Half our family is camera-shy and the other half will not stop posing. Arshaan handled both without making anyone feel awkward. The getting-ready pictures are the ones we keep going back to.

    Anuraty & Prakhar
  • He felt like a guest who happened to be carrying a camera. By the sangeet my cousins were pulling him into things. And still the work came out clean, no rushing, no shouting for attention.

    Vikas & Sahni
  • The reception ran two hours late and nobody panicked. He simply adjusted and kept shooting. We got the afterparty photographs we did not even ask for, and those are now our favourites.

    Adarsh & Mallika
  • What surprised us was how much of the family he captured. Our grandparents, the small conversations at the side — things we would have completely forgotten otherwise.

    Navankur & Aishwarya
  • We are both very private people and we were dreading the couple portraits. He gave us a few quiet minutes away from everyone and it did not feel like a shoot at all.

The photographer

One name on the work,
and he is at every wedding.

Arshaan leads and shoots every wedding he takes. The team around him scales to the schedule, but the person you speak to is the person behind the camera on the day.
